Default How to apply for access to THE LAB (what to do now)

The BookShed is a peer review and networking site for writers. We welcome genuine talent in whatever stage of development.

Warning: This is not a support group. This site is for writers who sincerely want to improve their work. There are no competitions and no rewards, just honest critiques. If you are a candy-assed, thin-skinned little wanker, this site is probably not for you.

To become a member, you need to post an example of your writing, around 1 - 2 000 words. Writers usually post the first chapter of a novel or a complete short story.

Applications must be posted in this forum:
http://www.bookshedforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=39

Take something you are particularly proud of, and either paste it into a new thread within THIS forum or attach it to a new thread with the title - 'Submission from Writer Name' (We mostly use real names, but you don’t have to.)

In your thread please give us a short paragraph on:

1- Your experience in, or or what you expect from, a writer's group.

2 - A short paragraph on at least one of the following: your achievements as a writer, your goals as a writer, or what you read and why.

Once your application is posted, a Shed member will be in touch with you to provide further instructions.

Be aware that not every applicant will succeed on the first submission. You are welcome to absorb the feedback to your piece, do a rewrite and re-apply with that, or something else, in a couple of months.
